Clearwire Models: Enter the world of flexible pricing

If you’re the type who is very price-conscious when it comes to how you will pay for the connection you are able to get online, then you should try considering the Clearwire model. This type of model has been known greatly for its flexible pricing options in the US

Clearwire models offer day passes and no-contract deals. Thus, enabling them to be more open to the new world filled with Wi-fi hotspots, unlike the traditional carrier models which you had in the past.

Given that this new network appears with other newly-built networks out there, the LTE will be on the lookout for new pricing approaches regarding the matter. This is done for a fair balance between flat rate tariffs and the maximized usage of their individual network capacity.

LTE pricing would involve basic flat fee along with usage-based charge depending on the bandwidth consumed on LTE enabled devices. The resulting bill will be much likely that of cable service or utility. It might have a base rate and premium add-on fees. In summary, the LTE aims to let users get accustomed to paying extra for high usage of wireless capacity, especially when using multiple devices in a simultaneously.

Mi-fi’s or otherwise known as Mi-fi units are able to connect a large number of users to the internet using only a single broadband connection. This type of connection has become more popular recently not only because of its practicality, but also, because of the practicality it offers to millions of users out there.

Unlike, the usual home broadband providers which use wireless routers, which in some way gives you a limited connectivity depending on how far you are from the router, Mi-fi creates a more localized signal which can be easily accessed by the users.

It won’t be surprising if you’ve already heard of dongles. This things have taken the spotlight of mass popularity when they had their time, just like in 2007 wherein, their existence seemed to have been ever-present almost anywhere. Mi-fi is also the same in some ways. Like donning the pay-as-you go alternative.

However, unlike dongles, the introduction of Mi-fi’s are still pretty new to the public. This makes Mi-fi a likely discovery for the customers and something new to use in the new century. It is a great innovation and at the same time, contribution to the fast-growing network sharing activities tying the globe together.

There are a total of forty percent of all access points in the United States that are open and unsecured. WeFi laid out a factsheet that in Europe, there are only twenty-five percent of hotspots that are open. This number is comparably low as to the percentage that of the US.  On the other hand, France has a relatively large number of open access points with captive portals. It is quite an interesting fact to know that these captive portals were utilized into different access points in order to moderate the wide open availability of connection for diverse users. These can aid in monitoring access and preventing exploitation to a certain degree.

As estimated by WeFi, there are almost 1/3 unprotected access points of the all the spots of Wi-Fi in the world.
