MiFi- Tech Support for Latest Mobile Networking

MiFi is the name of mobile network support technology. MiFi rental technology, as explained by the tech support professionals, transmits wireless signals to various Wi-Fi enabled gadgets like laptop, PDA, Smartphone, digital camera etc. In other words, MiFi is a trouble free business companion that can easily fit into your pocket.

The advantage of mobile or cellular Wi-Fi access is its wider rage of coverage and mobility of course. Today, at the time of globalization, travelling goes hand in hand with business. Especially, maintaining corporate relations with global partners is one most essential part of large business processes. Now, with the advancement of wireless network technology, the task has become much easier.

However, according to tech support researchers it is to be noted that, even though the modern networking technology has brought the remotest part closer, limitations are still there. So, let's find how much a consumer can accomplish with MiFi tech support.

As mentioned in the first place, the greatest advantage of MiFi is its mobility and range of network coverage. You don't always have to find a fixed Wi-Fi access point or signal. You can get online from any place wherever your cellular signal reaches. Even exciting thing is you can get uninterrupted net connection even while you are on move.

The device looks no bigger than a credit card. MiFi helps you catch latest news updates, weather forecasts, Forex rates and many more, apart from staying in touch with your near and dear ones. If you are into stock exchange, MiFi is going to be your greatest help. Today, online tech support companies are providing help for better usability.

As network support specialists suggest, you need to pick the best model from available 3G cellular data network types. First you need to subscribe to a cellular carrier's data service and then buy the MiFi card best compatible to your purpose. You can share your MiFi connection with up to 4 people. But, as tech support specialists suggest, it is better not to work simultaneously on a single connection.

The fact is, MiFi connections are tedious as compared to WiFi network services. Therefore, splitting up the connection into multiple portals is roughly equivalent to pushing the extreme capability. So, it is rather sensible not to share the signal with anyone while you are downloading or simply working online. In fact, there is a limitation on monthly data transfer as well.

However, with MiFi connectivity, you can have an off-site meeting with your colleagues sharing the signal with your group. Another thing you must keep in mind that the Wi-Fi hotspots are only abundant in urban cities and other well developed areas. So, with a business that requires interior travelling, it is essential to have a cellular networking connection in hand. It doesn't put you confined to a restricted area and can be used in every business purpose. It connects you everywhere. So we can conclude, MiFi connection is cool and you can do just anything staying away from your workplace.

The Audience

Microfinance institutions and Non Government organizations (NGO) play a vital role in eliminating poverty and improving the quality of life for communities that had been at or below the poverty line in the society. Micro Finance institutions just don’t lend money, but they kindle the entrepreneurial spirit with in people who just need the opportunity to use their skills to contribute to the MFI beneficiaries independent, self-reliant and more socially responsible.
At Trinity signal Technology, We understand the importance of the Micro Credit Institutions as a society. We understand the challenges involved in operating a Micro Finance Institution and strongly improve the operations and increase the operations and increase the growth of institution.

The Challenges
Micro finance institutions have very complex, distributed field level operations that involve a lot of financial transactions every day. From the management point of view the performance of the field staff, which is contained in data that is distributed geographically over the area of operation. For an efficient operation the MFI management should have very close connection with the field staff.

Another major challenge an MFI faces is fraud. Since it can happen on the MFI field team or from among the members, it is highly imperative that all the financial data are accurate and handled securely to ensure confidence among the funding agencies as well as from among the members. Since money (in fund form) is the commodity that is handled in every essential to have a system that is fool- proof to prevent fraud and to protect the institution as well as the Member interests.

Features of MiFI

MiFI is accurate and easy to use. The staffs at Mahasemam have little or no computer experience. Accordingly, the MIS was built with an easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI) which will enable anyone to learn and use it in a matter of days regardless of the education level or computer training.
MiFI is scalable. The software was designed keeping in mind the rapid expansion of a Micro finance institution which not only deals with the processing of loan applications and the disbursal of loans but also with different types of savings and insurance products. MiFI was designed and built as a series of modules that can be added and subtracted as per the needs of the organization.
MiFI has been integrated with accounts. The accounts module has been directly linked with the other modules. All outgoing transactions are automatically entered into the accounts module and tracked.
MiFI provides a highly fool-proof system to prevent frauds and misrepresentation of financial data. It ensures that the data is secure and unauthorized users are not allowed to access the data and manipulate it. The software allows only authorized personnel, who have been given User ids and passwords to access the database. There are basically three categories of users who can access this application. For each of the three categories of users, the application shows only certain features that are applicable to that category of users. In other words, based on the role of the users, the software gives only certain privileges.
• User-friendly Interface
o The Graphical user-interface is designed to be extremely simple and provide a consistent look and feel to the end user. It is aesthetically designed with pleasant colors so that it does not cause much of a train to the eyes. Its design is targeted toward easy learning and pleasant user experience.
• Maker / Checker Feature
o Ensures that every entry is verified and checked by a higher authority, a process called authorization. Entries that are unauthorized are ugh this process is tedious, it ensures the correctness of data that is entered.

• Group Management Features
o Helps the Field Development Officers (FDOs) to monitor Group meetings and Group Attendance, thereby improving operational efficiency. The FDOs can also handle Group Transfers with ease
• Built-in Business Intelligence
o MiFI incorporates business intelligence features such as Performance Analysis, Risk Analysis and Profit & Loss Analysis which enables the management to take vital decisions and plan their strategy
• Comprehensive MIS reports
o Provide Online and Offline reports for the management and funding agencies to view the current status of the financial information. Enables the management to effectively monitor the performance of their team.
• Security
o Ensures that the data is secure, as the system does not allow unauthorized users to access the data and manipulate it, thereby preventing fraud and mis-representation of financial data.
o
• Technology Integration

o MiFI can also be integrated with
? Smartcard
? RFID
? Finger Print Readers.

An Overview of MiFi vs. Cellular Routers

A lot of people work away from home now. Some students have papers to do and need the Internet for further research. There are some people who just need to be connected to the Internet almost all the time. It can be pretty difficult to find a stable connection that you can rely on. Of course, you can always have your mobile phone subscribe to a data plan that will allow you to surf through the Internet as you surf through GPRS or other mobile networks.

The mobile phones that are capable of connecting to the Internet have a cellular router built in the device. This is what allows you to surf the Internet. However, this can be pretty costly to use. The cellular router charges per byte downloaded. And if you wish to do extensive Internet searching, this is not a good option for you.

However, MiFi or short for mobile wireless Internet Local Area Network allows you to connect a wireless Internet connection where ever you are and whenever you need to. The device is a small block that acts as a modem to help you connect to the Internet. The network makes use of 4G technology to allow you to surf the Internet faster than you do on your mobile phone. These units cost about a hundred dollars. You will need to bundle it with a data plan subscription that usually costs up to sixty dollars for a downloaded information limit of 5GB. You just have to plug in the device onto your laptop and allow it to connect your laptop to the Internet.
This device allows you to have your own wireless network connection to connect to. It is about as big as a credit card and will be very unobtrusive. You can slip it in your pocket and have it around whenever you want it.

Cellular routers are most of the time built-in mobile phones to allow phones to connect to the Internet. You can also get something like a dongle that will allow you to connect to the Internet through a GPRS connection.

The two have similar goals: mobility. However, the portable hotspot can prove to be really useful especially for those who always need to communicate with their clients, bosses or perhaps their families. The gadget allows you to connect about 5 wireless capable devices on to it. The device also allows you to share the connection up to the people who are about 30 kilometers away from you.

Remember the difference: cellular routers are for GPRS connection and MiFi connects you through 4G technology. The latter comes with data plans from service providers. It is able to reach up to 140kbps at an average.

You can stop worrying about battling with other people for a decent wireless connection. You don’t have to bore yourself out waiting for search results on your mobile phone. All you need to do is to simply get a data plan from any of the mobile phone service providers and start using your modem. This is a cheaper and more convenient way of telecommuting without any hassles at all.

Mifi and the Ipod Touch: A Perfect Pair

Don’t you just wish that you had an iPhone? Wouldn’t it be really convenient to have an iPhone instead of an iPod Touch? An iPhone would let you surf the Internet. It will be able to connect to a wireless Internet network and allow you to check your Facebook page or your email inbox perhaps. However, it can be pretty expensive to own an iPhone. Most WiFi capable phones are pretty expensive. You could get a data plan for your phone. However, you will need a high-end phone for that, one that will let you browse through the Internet through GPRS or a 3G network. And that would definitely come in really expensive for you.

Well, you don’t have to throw your iPod Touch away. You can use it to surf the Internet as well. And a mobile hotspot will do the trick. It is possible to use your iPod Touch to surf the Internet. It just takes a simple data plan subscription with your mobile phone’s service provider and a MiFi router. That should do the trick.

MiFi works like a personal wireless network that you can connect to. All you have to do is connect it through the USB port and you’re good to go. You will be able to get your own wireless Internet connection wherever you want and whenever you need it. You don’t have to battle with other people to connect to the Internet at WiFi hotspots. You can have your very own stowed away in your bag.
The unit is very portable. It can house up to 5 wireless devices at one time. You can hook it up with your iPod Touch to get instant wireless Internet access anytime.

However, the signal you get is dependent on the provider's signal strength in the area. Of course, it is possible that at some places, you will be getting a weak signal. Some places will allow you a stronger connection. Most data plans have a downloaded data limit. It usually costs about 60 dollars for up a data plan for 5GB. The unit itself costs about 100 dollars. You can also use this with your laptop or other mobile wireless devices with a USB port.

You can put a pass code on your network to secure it. The router is a plug-and-play device that you can configure as easy as your typical wireless router. You don’t have to sweat it out with installation and configuration. This comes really quick and easy.

Who says you have to throw out your iPod Touch to get an iPhone? You don’t have to. All you need is to get yourself a good data plan with your trusted mobile phone service provider, plug it into your iPod Touch, and then you’re good to go. You don’t have to play tug-of-war with other people to connect at public WiFi hotspots at coffee shops or in the mall. You can simply surf the Internet while you’re on the go with your own personal hotspot.

This device comes in different models and each of them has pretty much the same functionality. The 3 current versions are MiFi 2200, 2352 (for Europe Only) and the 2372 (For North America Only). We will talk about the compatible networks shortly.

If you are still not sure what this device does, then I can explain better. We all know how wireless routers work. A wireless router is able to perform the functions of a router and also provide wireless access points. This enables other computers or devices to pick up internet signals. The MiFi is no different in its function, except for the ability to be fully mobile. Now that we got that out of the way, let's move on…

MiFi 2200: The MiFi 2200 runs on CDMA 1xEVDO RevA networks. It provides that on the go wireless hotspot that people like me need. This device supports a maximum of 5 users at a time, so you can share your wireless internet with friends and family. As far as speed goes, this version pales in comparison to the 2352(For Europe Only) and 2372 (For North America Only). CDMA2000 and wideband CDMA deliver data up to 384 Kbps. So if you were sharing this device with friends, you are looking at a data speed of 14kbps to 76kbps data per single device. I could not find out whether this device provides expandable storage so it is safe to say that it doesn't. Now let's move on, shall we.

MiFi 2352 for Europe and MiFi 2372 for North America: All hail the power of the new HSPA technology! HAHAHAHAHA, ok let's get serious. These versions run on the HSPA networks with amazing speed. Provides a whooping 7.2 Mbps download and 5.76 Mbps upload. Expandable storage is up to 16GB via MicroSD slot. Up to 5 users can be supported at one time. Wow I like this…

Internode releases battery-powered 3G "MiFi" router

The MiFi router doesn't need to have so much as a power-point or USB port in sight, either -- it's a battery-powered router roughly as big as a pack of cards that has enough juice to give you four hours of WiFi.

MiFi is similar to the Huawei E5832 battery-powered router released recently by Virgin Mobile, but is manufactured by Novatel Wireless, a San Diego-based company, rather than the China-based Huawei.

It allows up to five devices to share the one 3G connection, such as notebooks, netbooks, PDAs, smartphones and gaming systems. It's particularly interesting for people who have long hankered for an "internet-connected iPod Touch" but don't want to buy into the iPhone with its associated voice plans and long term contracts. Now, with a MiFi stashed away in your backpack, you can have your iPod-touch connected to 3G -- along with your laptop and any other WiFi devices you might carry with you.

Internally, the MiFi runs Linux, but is a fully self-contained system which doesn't require you to install any drivers on the devices you want to use it with, since it just provides a regular WiFi signal, secured via WPA2.

The MiFi simply requires a 3G data-enabled SIM (such as Internode’s NodeMobile Data 3G wireless broadband service, which provides a connection over the Optus mobile network).

As a launch special, Internode is selling the device for 9 (unlocked and with no service contract requirement). The standard price will be 9; with the option of 9 when bundled with a 24-month NodeMobile Data service.

This particular model of MiFi being sold by Internode is good for use on Optus or Vodafone, as it supports 3G at 900/1900/2100MHz, but no good for connecting to Telstra Next G as it does not support the required 850MHz frequency used by Telstra (for that, you'd need to get the MiFi 2372, which is not being sold by Internode but does support Telstra's 850MHz frequency).

Internode product manager Jim Kellett said MiFi has broader appeal than just mobile business applications and iPod Touch-toting “road warriors”: it delivers an instant NodeMobile-powered broadband service for the home or a holiday house - with no setup. MiFi can be placed where 3G reception is strongest, using its wireless network to connect devices locally.

MiFi has a 10-metre coverage range for its wireless network, and comes with an Australian power supply (one big advantage over the direct-imported models) and a USB cable for charging from a computer.

It also has a MicroSDHC memory card slot, providing shared storage of up to 16GB for all the devices connected to the router.

Mifi Benefits When Traveling

Traveling often goes hand in hand with business. Especially with traveling long distances, it is important to always be in touch with colleagues and be updated with what is happening in the quickest and most convenient way possible. With the invention of the Internet and devices that can connect wirelessly, being in touch has become much easier. It is to be noted that although technology has brought the world closer together, there are still major limitations as to what and how much a consumer can do and accomplish online.

With the earlier technology involved in connecting to the Internet, pricey subscriptions were required in order to gain access. Shops and businesses offering WiFi service provided greater convenience by allowing consumers to access the Internet beyond the confines of the home or office but at significantly higher costs. There were even some areas that provided the service for free but with trade-offs such as lower speeds with limited or no connectivity. With the new Mobile WiFi technology, aptly called MiFi, it is expected that businesses will no longer see travel as a limitation in keeping up with the demands of the customers.

MiFi rental technology transmits wireless signals to other WiFi-enabled gadgets such as laptops, digital cameras, cellular phones, etc. The MiFi device is a trouble-free business companion which can conveniently fit your pocket since it is only the same size as that of a credit card. Needless to say, having a MiFi service is like having a personal Internet service which can enable you to connect to the Internet any time of the day together with four other wireless devices. With a MiFi rental service, you and your colleagues can have an off-site meeting without the worries of interrupted Internet connectivity and at the same time, the wireless signal is easily shared within the group.

WiFi hotspots are well and good but they are only plenty in well developed areas such as urban cities. With businesses that require a lot of travel, a reliable Internet connection is definitely a must. Occupations that require an individual to always be on call or during emergencies, a WiFi hotspot will just not do. While traveling on a cruise line, ferry, taxi cab, train and other forms of transportation, more often than not there is no decent Internet connection available. With a MiFi rental, it is as easy as turning on the power of the small box and once the wireless devices are connected, Internet surfing is ready to go, regardless of the current location. Surely, having a MiFi will no longer put traveling consumers on a tight spot even at the most remote location. MiFi rental services are proven to be useful anywhere, from traveling to rural areas, staying in simple accommodations such as bed & breakfast houses to public places such as theme parks or exhibitions. A MiFi to be used for mobile connectivity is the quintessential tool for people and businesses on the go. As rates vary depending on whether where the service is to be used, consumers are advised to acquire a reliable MiFi rental service in order to be assured of an uncompromised business, even in the most unlikely places on the planet.
